​Ryan has built a career at the intersection of the arts, education, and nonprofit leadership. With more than 15 years of experience, he has served organizations ranging from higher education and arts institutions to large, multi-service nonprofits.

He currently serves as Director of Operations at The Hub on Smith, a senior services nonprofit in Sheridan, Wyoming, where he oversees operations across multiple program areas, manages multimillion-dollar budgets, and supports a staff of more than 75 alongside 450 volunteers. His leadership has included securing significant city, county, state, and foundation funding, developing curriculum for creative aging programs supported by the Wyoming Arts Council, and guiding strategic planning and compliance efforts.

Previously, Ryan was the Residency Manager at Ucross Foundation, supporting artists from around the world in one of the nation’s leading residency programs, and the Performing Arts and Concert Hall Coordinator at the Whitney Center for the Arts at Sheridan College, where he connected students and community members in a rural setting with world-class performers. He has also held leadership roles as Operations Manager for the Starkville–MSU Symphony and Asian Field Director with Global Ministry Teams in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Alongside his administrative work, Ryan has remained active in the performing arts as both a voice teacher and performer. He taught voice and vocal pedagogy at Mississippi State University, maintained a private studio, and served as assistant director or performer with organizations including the Red River Lyric Opera, Natchez Festival of Music, the Black Hills Playhouse, the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, and the University of Alabama Opera Theatre.

Ryan holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice from the University of Alabama, a Master of Music from the University of South Dakota, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from UCSI University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His career reflects a commitment to building communities, advancing the arts, and supporting creative and educational excellence.
